Hits the Spot

Some times you know you are in the mood to listen to a certain song or album but then other times you feel like listening to something but are not quite sure what to play to suit the mood. So you put on a track and hope it fits.

That was what I did today - I put on Simon and Garfunkel's "Bookends" CD and it hit the spot. What a great album. Hard to believe it is 43 years old.

Something else I did today was think about things that lots of people think are absolutely fabulous and are wildly enthusiastic about, but that I could just never get in that frame of mind. It's like, these are things that do nothing at all for me on the excitement meter. Here is my list, off the top of my head:

Conan O'Brien
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Harry Potter
Fresh and Easy stores
Chocolate covered strawberries
Boba Tea
Sitting in Borders all day and night reading a book or magazine
